My comments about Anita’s cooking class:
“I am Valerija from Slovenia, small country in the heart of Europe.
I am big fan of different cuisines and I really like to cook. As I am travelling around the world I am amazed with different cultures, traditions and I think that food, gastronomyis very important part of it.
I admire Asia and Asian cooking which is so colourful, reach and so different from one country to another. It is also beyond comparison with European cuisine.
For me Indian cooking is something special from two main reasons.
I had the honour to learn from Anita, real Indian lady from Bombay, cooking her mother’s recipes. And we all know that home made food is always tasting better.
We were a nice group of ladies from different countries, coming together every month, having a lot of fun, learning a lot from each other, discuss about different problems, but mostly food, family, health… Cooking and eating is very much connected with all this.
I learned very carefully and now I can cook at least some dishes. Our favorite is Butter Chicken, Paneer, Dal Tarka, different breads… I am glad to see when my family and our friends enjoy it very much.”
In Slovenian Language:
Bila sem pozorna ucenka in zdaj ze znam pripraviti kar nekaj indijskih jedi. Nase najljubse jedi soááButter Chicken, Paneer, Dal Tarka, razlicni kruhki… ”
Dear Anita, with this you make me think and I can tell you I will really miss you here in Moscow. On the other hand you gave me and us new knowledge and experiences with cooking which enrich us all. I will miss you, and I wish you all the best, so that your wishes come true.
Valerija.
> “Anita’s Indian cooking classes were the highlight of the week – we
> learned how to cook the most amazing dishes, as well as having fun
> with a healthy portion of psychotherapy thrown in. I will miss her,
> not only for the wonderful food she cooked, but also for the lovely,
> warm and sunny person that she is. Good luck to you in Canada – I hope
> they appreciate you as much as we all did!”

My name is Maggie Ghidirim and I have known Anita since I moved to Moscow, Russia in January 2007 from New York. It has been my life long dream to learn how to cook Indian food. My husband and I have always searched for Indian restaurants when we lived in California, Boston and New York. I love cooking and Indian cuisine has always been one of my favorite but not one I knew how to make. Who would have ever thought I would learn to master Indian cooking in Moscow.
I met Anita in April 2007 for my first Indian cooking class and I have been a dedicated student to all of her classes since then. I have even taken some repeater classes as I love her classes and her wonderful, tasty, authentic recipes.
I have been lucky to know Anita for the past three years and I have also had the pleasure to cook with her father while he was visiting in Moscow. I am sad that she has moved to Canada but I am happy for her and I know that others will have the pleasure to learn from her.
I wish you luck in Canada Anita and I only wish I too could attend your classes in 2010!!!
